Why does my bank show a one-time purchase as a recurring payment?

Please rest assured that the purchase of courses you made is not recurring. The reason they are marked as such by your bank is because you are returning customer and have not entered a CVC code, instead, you have used your saved payment details.

To the bank, doing so seems recurring which is why they mark it so. Here is our payment provider, Stripe, explaining in more depth:
