Who is IM John Bartholomew?

John is an International Chess Master from Eagan, Minnesota who has been playing, studying, and teaching chess for over 20 years. One of the most frequent questions John has had as a chess coach is "How do I go about studying chess openings?". To solve this problem John co-founded Chessable in late 2015.

John has a peak rating of 2471 FIDE and is regularly active on Chessable where you will see him answering questions, posting comments and more. John is by default part of your leaderboard, for some healthy competition.
